Real Treasure?

"Hey, mom, do you think there is real treasure under that?"

When we came across this "X" in the road yesterday, Gavin thought for sure there was treasure under there. "X" marks the spot, he said.

This here is a little piece of paradise we own out in the beautiful lakeside city of Wildomar.
Well, not exactly. We invested, with my dad, in this little lot and put a home on it to resell. We spent all day Saturday out there, getting it ready to put on the market.

Welcome baby Will...

My brother Brandon and his wife Karen welcomed their second little boy, William, into the world yesterday. How excited we are to have another nephew and cousin close by. And what a darling little guy he is.

Just 3 hours old.

Brandon now has 2 little boys... oh, but these 2 are mine.

First Day of Disneyland

We are so excited to have annual Disneyland passes again. Monday night we took the boys to check out Pirates of the Caribbean since the remodel. Gavin had fun looking for Capt. Jack Sparrow, and Miles clutched so tightly to his mommy. Miles loved his first Disneyland trip!

First Day of School

Last Tuesday was Gavin's first day of school. He didn't end up going that day because he had a fever and headache, and then vomiting that night. But he was feeling good and running all around on Thursday so I decided he was well enough to go that day. As soon as I mentioned school, though, his eyes went half shut and he said he was too tired.

So, here is Gavin, in the traditional Ogden photo on the first day of school, door open, with hand on handle.

I finally got him to go to school. But he ended up sleeping for an hour and a half of the 3 hours. Poor guy, I guess he was still getting over his illness.

Camping in Carlsbad

Here, the boys make do with a cup and some cutlery because mom forgot the sand toys. Wow, you end up packing so much for just one night of camping. Friday night we went down to Carlsbad State Beach and camped there up on the cliff. We love this camp ground because of the proximity to the beach (you can hear the ocean as you fall asleep... oh, but you can also hear the cars driving by). Ryan and Leanne joined us that night for an evening surf and dinner around the campfire and the next morning for another surf and breakfast.
