Good hair day...

Last night, Nate and I went to see the musical. It was put on by a traveling company and we saw it at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. I loved it! I loved all the dancing and costumes and colorful set. We had an ongoing debate during the performance about who was wearing fat suits and if the mother was a man or a woman. I hadn't seen the movie with John Travolta but I guess he plays the mother in that. Knowing that, we wouldn't have had to look so closely at the mother's big boobs to check if they were real or not. We got home and looked up the mother's bio and sure enough it was a man!
Keeping up with the theme of HAIR... I chopped mine off yesterday. It may not have seemed like a big deal to anyone else, and thinking about it now, it's not too drastic. But I took about 4-5 inches off the back. And it was LONG for me.
So here is my new doo at Hairspray.

Uncle Ryan dumping a big load... oh, wait... that's Gavin!
My brothers are almost finished building this speck home in Tustin. The boys love going over there and seeing the machinery and tools. Speaking of tools... this little guy has a few of his own.

Ok, now the party is over...

Grammy, Papa, Grandma Kelley, Kelli and Scarlett are now on their way home. Grammy and Papa came from New York, G. Kelley came from Idaho, and Kelli and Scarlett came from Budapest. We had a fun weekend with them and also with Ryan, Leanne and kids.

The Party is Over

It always hits me as I'm putting away the Christmas decorations... a little depression. December is such a fun month, surrounded by family, and friends you haven't seen for a while, good food, children's anticipation, and relaxing after a mad rush of getting last minute things put together. Well, here is our last few weeks in photos. So fun.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Ryan and Leanne had such a fun New Year's Eve party. Good food, live music, karaoke, pool. Gavin and Max did not stay upstairs for long. They partied until well after 1am with us.

Miles was captivated by the live music. He sat there for at least 10 minutes and did not move an inch.

Christmas

Christmas Eve was at Brandon and Karen's house. Here is the PJ fashion show.

Ahhh, Christmas in southern California. The long sleeved shirts came off right after this photo and we enjoyed beautiful weather in the 70s at the beach house the weekend after Christmas.

We visited the Santa Barbara zoo while we were up there. It is a great little zoo! I can't believe we hadn't been there before.
