Panama photos

Last week Nate and I dropped off the boys at Nana's and headed down to Panama for the first and only temple dedication. What a great trip it was. We met up several other missionaries that served with Nathan and spent a few days with them.

The canal is in the back ground

The cultural celebration the night before was amazing. It was the youth performing over 20 dances, both traditional and modern.

We somehow got seats 5 rows back right in front of the prophet

The father here, Ronnie, was baptized by Nathan and is now a bishop and he is got us tickets to be in the temple for the dedication. What a great experience.

We also did some touring. Here we are on an island that is connected to the mainland by a causeway built out of the land dug from the canal project

An artsy shot by Nate

Panama City in the back

This is what you get when you order fish. Just skinned and deep fried. Yum!

The last night, we went out to a rain forest resort. This place was sweet.

\
so was this guy

We took a long walk the next morning before heading to the airport

testing out the zoom capabilities on my new camera. sweet huh?

Parting shot before we headed to the airport.
So excited to go pick up our little guys...

And meet one of our newest cousins, Emery. Born to my sister Britin and husband Aaron on August 1st.
We still have to meet my brother Ryan and wife Annette's little girls born a few day after.

Gavin learned to surf this summer!

He ditched his boogie board for his dad's fish that he paddles out by himself and actually catches waves. We've been taking him to Doheny where it is mellow and he slowly built up confidence and last night he paddled straight out before Nate could get his suit on and before I knew it, he was the farthest one out and was caught in a current headed south. Luckily I yelled to my brother to tell him to paddle in a little bit.

Check out the crowd!

There is Miles in the middle, wanting to be like his big brother.

I love this cutie!

Miles is still 2!

... or so he says. He also states he is 4. Anything but 3. He was told leading up to his birthday that when he turns 3 he will be too big for his paci.
Here are some photos of his party.

Miles didn't want to stop swimming to eat his cake

He warmed up to it after he tasted it

Then we had peace

We headed to Barnum and Bailey's circus to continue the celebration that night

We looked in on the elephants taking a shower before the show.

The elephants were definitely our favorite part.

But the monkeys were the cutest!
